Paul Collins, a respected Cork entrepreneur and co-founder of the marketing agency Noise, has died following a tragic accident at his home in Glanmire, County Cork. His sudden passing has left family, friends, colleagues, and the wider Irish business community mourning the loss of a creative leader whose impact extended far beyond the marketing industry.
Originally from Waterfall, Cork, Paul was widely recognized as the co-founder and Marketing Director of Noise, the successful agency he established alongside longtime friend Robbie Roche in 2016. Through innovation, storytelling, and a people-first approach, the company grew into one of Cork’s most respected creative agencies, working with a range of well-known Irish brands and organizations.
Paul’s passion for marketing and business began during his studies in business and marketing at Cork Institute of Technology, now Munster Technological University. After gaining experience within the industry, he partnered with Roche to build Noise from a small startup into a thriving agency known for its creativity and strong client relationships.
Tributes have poured in from colleagues, clients, and friends who described Paul as a talented professional, loyal friend, and genuinely kind person. Robbie Roche paid an emotional tribute to his co-founder, calling him not only a brilliant creative mind but also his closest friend and business partner.
“Paul brought energy, optimism, and kindness to everything he did,” Roche said. “He believed in people, supported those around him, and helped build a company rooted in creativity and trust.”
According to family members, Paul passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, following an accident at his home. Authorities have confirmed that no foul play is suspected, and a routine coroner’s inquest is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Paul was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and commitment to supporting others. Friends recall a man who always made time for family, checked in on loved ones, and worked tirelessly to help both colleagues and clients succeed.
Paul is survived by his parents, Denis and Teresa Collins, his brother Ronan Collins, and his sister, Sr. Mary Joseph. His family has expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support they have received from the Cork community during this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements have been announced, with a Requiem Mass scheduled at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Shanakiel. Following the service, Paul will be laid to rest at St. James’ Cemetery in Chetwynd.
In lieu of flowers, the Collins family has requested donations to charitable organizations supporting mental health and bereavement services, reflecting causes that were important to Paul throughout his life.
As Cork remembers one of its most admired young entrepreneurs, Paul Collins leaves behind a lasting legacy of creativity, leadership, and kindness. His contributions to the business community, his dedication to his family and friends, and the agency he helped build will ensure that his memory lives on for many years to come.
