Audrie Lorraine Pelosi Obituary: ‘Mrs. TheFox’ Dies in Wisconsin Climbing Accident, Outdoor Community Mourns
BARABOO, Wisconsin — The outdoor recreation community is mourning the loss of Audrie Lorraine Pelosi, affectionately known as “Mrs. TheFox,” who died following a climbing accident on May 30, 2026. She was 30 years old.
Pelosi, a passionate climber, snowboarder, cyclist, and outdoor advocate, was widely admired throughout the Midwest adventure community for her energy, kindness, and dedication to helping others discover the outdoors. Her sudden death has deeply impacted friends, family, and countless people whose lives she touched.
Born on February 19, 1996, in the Duluth, Minnesota area, Audrie developed a love for nature at an early age. Growing up near Lake Superior and Minnesota’s rugged North Shore, she spent much of her life exploring mountains, trails, and climbing routes across the country.
Her love of adventure also led her to meet her husband, Jimmy “The Fox” Robinson. The couple first connected through the snowboarding community and quickly formed a bond built on shared passions for climbing, skiing, and outdoor travel. In February 2023, they were married atop Mount Bohemia in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, surrounded by family, friends, and the mountain landscape they loved.
Throughout her career, Audrie worked in several respected outdoor recreation businesses, including Ski Hut in Duluth and Viking Ski Shop in Chicago. After relocating to Baraboo, Wisconsin, she became a familiar face at Wildside Action Sports and was actively involved with local organizations promoting outdoor recreation and community engagement. Friends and colleagues remember her as someone who always encouraged newcomers and helped others feel welcome.
Details surrounding the climbing accident have not been fully released. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, which occurred in southwestern Wisconsin. Family members have requested privacy as they grieve.
Beyond her accomplishments, loved ones say Audrie will be remembered for her humor, generosity, and adventurous spirit. She was devoted to her husband, her family, and her beloved three-legged rescue dog, Chili Dog, who accompanied her on many outdoor adventures.
Pelosi is survived by her husband Jimmy Robinson; her parents, Heather Schweiger and Paul Pelosi; grandparents; siblings; step-siblings; extended family members; and a large network of friends throughout the climbing, snowboarding, and cycling communities.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., followed by services at 3 p.m. Family members have encouraged attendees to wear colorful outdoor clothing in honor of Audrie’s adventurous personality.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to organizations that reflected her passions, including animal rescue, mental health advocacy, climbing conservation, and environmental protection causes.
Though her life ended far too soon, Audrie Lorraine Pelosi leaves behind a lasting legacy of friendship, adventure, and community. Those who knew her say her influence will continue to be felt on climbing walls, ski slopes, hiking trails, and in the countless lives she inspired along the way.
